2 Characteristics of Today’s Dad and the Beaux Rêves Experience

The role of today’s father in the family has progressively changed. In the past, the majority of fathers have worked to support their family in various ways. Today, as the gender roles and responsibilities between mother and father meld into one another, the father’s role with the family has evolved as well. While brainstorming this year’s promotion for Father’s Day here at Auberge and Spa Beaux Rêves, we realized two primary characteristics of today’s modern dad that helped us come to a final decision regarding the promotion.

They’re playing their part

Today’s fathers are more attentive of their individuality and to their role as a parent and partner altogether.  They are much more apt to assist in cleaning and cooking and they are also given the option of being a stay at home dad – an option that was almost unheard of just 10 years ago. Today, these fathers are helping to break this notion that mothers should be carers and fathers should be the earners. They are helping break this gender gap and stereotype, confirming that what families really need are caring and earning fathers and mothers. Their growing attentiveness has resulted in putting a great importance on building a secure and pleasurable future for not only themselves but for their partner and family as well. Today’s father is all about living well and experiencing life, which is why we believe that your father would appreciate the very unique Beaux Rêves experience.

Aesthetic awareness is on the rise

Studies have shown that today’s men are much more conscious of their health and more careful with their lifestyle and diet than ever before. As today’s father is more attentive in his personal life and to his children, he is also paying much more attention to the health of his skin and acknowledges the importance of relaxation. According to a survey from market research company Mintel, approximately 58% of men between the ages of 18 to 34 say they use a facial moisturizing product regularly. Moreover, many products that were previously marketed to women such as eye cream and serums are now being used by men as well. We too at Auberge and Spa Beaux Rêves have many spa treatments for men.
